Tell us about your farm and family. My family owns a dairy farm in Freeman, South Dakota, called Schultz Brothers Dairy that has been running for three generations. We milk 2,500 head of cows and also have a herd of beef cow/calf pairs.

Why did you join FFA? I joined FFA in order to compete and learn things that I can use throughout my life.  I look forward to competing in floriculture and making new friends.

What is your role in the chapter? Member.

What FFA contests do you compete in? Floriculture and parliamentary procedure.

What do you look forward to most in the upcoming FFA year? I look forward to competing in floriculture and making new friends.

How has FFA shaped you as a person? FFA has shaped me as a person by teaching me to help others no matter what the circumstance is.

What are your duties on the farm? My duties on the farm consist of driving different kinds of machinery and just being my dad or grandpa’s assistant.

What are your future plans? Although I’m not 100% sure I will stay working on the farm forever, right now I plan to eventually take over my grandma’s job and become the farm manager. She’s the jack of all trades and keeps the farm rolling.
