Tenth grade

When do you do chores? I help out with chores whenever I’m needed on the farm.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite project is merging hay. I like driving the tractor. My least favorite is feeding calves because they don’t always cooperate.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? Mowing the lawns.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? I like the summer because I get to see my horse more often.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. My favorite animal on the farm is the kitten we named El Chapo.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a dairy farmer.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have a robotic farm with 20 milking robots for 1,000 cows.

What’s your favorite game to play on the farm? I like when we play follow the leader on our four-wheelers and side-by-sides.

What is your favorite dairy treat? Ice cream.

What is your favorite thing to do off the farm with your family? I like when we visit Wisconsin Farm Technology Days.

Are you involved in any activities? What’s your favorite? What do you enjoy about it? I’m in the FFA chapter at Tomah High School. I like it when we meet new people and when we compete at events.

Eighth grade

When do you do chores? I do chores every morning and night, and I do field work too.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite is hauling silage. My least favorite chore is cleaning out the calf pens.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? I really enjoy helping make hay during the summer.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? I like it when I can ride my dirt bike around the farm.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. Our dog, Maya, is my favorite. I enjoy playing with her.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to own a cranberry marsh.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. My farm would have 300 acres with bogs for my cranberries, and I’d have a lot of big equipment.

What’s your favorite game to play on the farm? I like it when we go and hit golf balls on the back 40.

What is your favorite dairy treat? My favorite is ice cream.

What is your favorite thing to do off the farm with your family? When I’m off the farm, I like riding my dirt bike.

Are you involved in any activities? What’s your favorite? What do you enjoy about it? I’m involved in football and trap shooting. I love to go shoot trap and hang out with my friends. With football, I like to hit people when I’m on the field.
