8 ounces cream cheese
1 box devil’s food cake mix
1/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Nonpareils or powdered sugar for dipping
Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Chill if needed for handling. Roll into 1-inch balls and dip in nonpareils or powdered sugar. Press on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 8 minutes.
