1 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
3 1/2 cups flour
Mix all ingredients. Roll into balls and then dip in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until done. Do not overbake.
