2 pounds frozen shredded   
  hashbrowns
1 teaspoon salt
16 ounces sour cream
1/4 cup melted butter
One can cream of chicken soup
2 cups grated cheese, cheddar
  or swiss
1/2 cup chopped onions

Mix together and either bake at 350 degrees for one hour or put in a slow cooker for 3-4 hours, then serve.
