In a small pot, combine:
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
Simmer until butter is melted. Pour into 9-by-13-inch glass pan. Put two layers of bread slices over caramel mixture.
In a bowl, beat:
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
    Pour over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate at least three hours or overnight. Uncover to bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Slice and serve.
