1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
    Mix the egg and buttermilk in a medium sized bowl. Add the flour, sugar, salt and soda. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients. Pour batter onto a lightly oiled, hot griddle. When the cakes have bubbles around the edges, carefully turn them over.
