When do you do chores? I do chores on Thursday and Saturday mornings and any times I am needed.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like watering the calves because I like to mentally work on stories at that time, and I like being outside. My least favorite chore is covering the bunker because I am scared someone will fall off.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like the crossbred Angus calves the best. They have fun personalities.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like everything except statistics.
What is something you have learned in school recently? In civics, I am learning about Franklin D. Roosevelt and how the federal government expanded under his power.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a wife, a homeschooling mom and an author.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. It would be a hobby farm with a few goats to milk. From their milk I would make cheese and soap. I would also have a few laying hens for eggs.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Whipped cream.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? Baseball.
What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my relationship with Jesus because it gives me purpose.
Are you involved in any activities besides schoolwork or farmwork? Singing with my family along with playing the guitar, piano and cello.

When do you do chores? I do chores whenever I am not doing school work.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite chore is cutting hay because I get a good view of the farm. My least favorite chore is bedding hutches when its windy.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? My favorite animal on the farm is one that is healthy, producing well and not causing any problems.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like history because it is neat to read about people who lived a while ago and to see how far we have come.
What is something you have learned in school recently? In world history, I am learning about the reformation and the renaissance and how that changed human culture.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would raise heifers on a large scale – about 800 heifers with 1,000 acres. I would have red tractors.
What is your favorite dairy treat? I really like cheese, especially mozzarella and cheddar.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? I like baseball and football.
What are you most thankful for? My relationship with God is all that matters and is the most important to me.
Are you involved in any activities besides schoolwork or farmwork? I sing with my family and play piano.

When do you do chores? Whenever I am not doing schoolwork. I am always on call.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite is any type of fieldwork because I like driving tractor. My least favorite chore is feeding calves during the winter because it is not fun being in the cold, and I do not like to dig in the snow to find the huts.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? There is not one specific animal that is my favorite. I like the steers, and I like the chickens. I raise them every summer.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like American history because I like learning about the civil war.
What is something you have learned in school recently? In chemistry, I am learning about the periodic table and how it was formed.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. It would be a lot like this one, but with 400 cows, more acres, a self-propelled chopper and a few newer tractors.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Vanilla ice cream and cheese.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? Baseball and football.
What are you most thankful for? That our family likes each other, works well together and likes working hard most of the time.
Are you involved in any activities besides schoolwork or farmwork? I sing with our family, and also play piano and guitar. I also make maple syrup.

Eighth grade
When do you do chores? I do chores Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, and any other time I am needed to fill in.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite is taking care of new calves. I like all the steps to care for them. My least favorite is bedding hutches because it is so dusty.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like the kitties, but really I love all animals. I am the animal lover of the family.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like literature because I like the story we are reading right now.
What is something you have learned in school recently? I am learning about George Mueller, a missionary in the mid 1800s.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would raise about 400 dairy goats and have a few dogs.  
What is your favorite dairy treat? Any kind of cheese curd.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? I like snow tubing in the winter.
What are you most thankful for? I am thankful we can grow up on the farm because I like working here.
Are you involved in any activities besides schoolwork or farmwork? I sing with my family and take piano lessons. I also like playing games together as a family.

Sixth grade
When do you do chores? I do chores Friday and Saturday mornings, and whenever I am needed.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like milking because I get to be with a lot of other family members. I do not have a least favorite chore. There is a good part about each chore.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I do not have one specific animal I like, but I like the younger calves the best. I like to name them. For twins born on Halloween, I named them Trick and Treat.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like literature because I like to read and listen to the stories Mom reads us.
What is something you have learned in school recently? I am learning about different countries in Asia and about their cultures.
What do you want to be when you grow up? An author.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would raise quite a few heifers so I would have a barn for calves and another barn for older heifers. I would also have a couple dogs.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Fried cheese curds and cookies and cream ice cream.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? Baseball.
What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my family. I like to work with them.

When do you do chores? I help when I am needed.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like milking because I get to do it with the boys, Dad and Olivia. My least favorite chores are sweeping the garage because it is cold and emptying the litterbox for my kitty.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? My kitty, Tippy, is my favorite. She was born this summer and is gray and orange.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like math because I like numbers.
What is something you have learned in school recently? I learned about Thomas Edison.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I do not know yet.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have cows, calves and goats. I would have just a few cows to start and grow my herd from there.
What is your favorite dairy treat? I like fried cheese curds.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? Dutch blitz. It is a fast, intense card game.
What are you most thankful for? I am thankful for the farm because a lot of girls do not get to grow up on farms.
Are you involved in any activities besides schoolwork or farmwork? I sing with my family and take piano lessons. They are fun.

When do you do chores? I do chores in the morning and whenever I am needed.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My two favorites are bedding hutches and feeding calves. I like being with the calves. I do not have a least favorite chore. I like everything on the farm.  
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I do not have one specific favorite animal, but I like all the calves. They are small and cute, and I like it when they suck on my fingers.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like literature because of all the fun stories.
What is something you have learned in school recently? I am learning about Abraham Lincoln.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Maybe a dairy farmer, but I am not sure yet.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would raise calves and sell them. I would also milk cows, but only a small herd.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Chocolate ice cream.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? Baseball.
What are you most thankful for? For my family. We all like singing together. I like that we do that.

When do you do chores? I do chores when my siblings do chores.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like feeding calves. They are cute, and I get to do it with my sisters. I do not like hauling cattle. It is not fun.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like the small calves.
What is your favorite subject in school? I do a workbook with letters and shapes.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A doctor.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. It would have cows, calves, goats, pigs and red tractors because that’s what Peyton wants his tractors to be.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Ice cream.
What is your favorite game to play at home/on the farm? A game called funny faces. I also like to swing.
What are you most thankful for? My family. I love them.
What do you like to do while your older sibling do schoolwork? I do projects like lace up cards and play with baby dolls.
