When do you help with chores? I help with chores before and after school and on the weekends.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite chore is bedding the calves. I like playing with them and keeping them dry and warm. My least favorite chore is cleaning pens because it stinks.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like all of the calves. I don’t really have a favorite.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like history and agriculture classes. I like learning about things in the past and how they can relate to our future. I like agriculture class because the things I learn relate to the things I do on the farm.
What is something you have learned in school recently? We did an English connections project where we worked with students from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point virtually.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I really don’t know yet what I want to be or do, just that I want to do something in agriculture.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have all kinds of cows, all seven of the breeds. I would have a couple of horses, some dogs and cats and maybe some sheep. I would have a big barn.
What do you like most about spring? I like all the babies being born on the farm, and the foals and lambs in the fields.
What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? The best thing about growing up on a dairy farm are all the experiences I get to have and being able to use them in my learning at school too.
What is your favorite dairy treat? I like milk, both white and chocolate.

Seventh grade

When do you help with chores? I help with chores in the morning before school and then after school and on the weekends.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like working the fields because I like being able to drive tractors now. I don’t really have a least favorite farm chore, so I would have to say any chores in the house.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like our miniature donkey, Jack.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like science. I enjoy learning about all the different things.
What is something you have learned in school recently? We dissected frogs and crayfish. They were interesting, but the smell was terrible.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a dairy farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have Holsteins and pigs. There would be no cats.
What do you like most about spring? I like playing baseball and going turkey hunting.
What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? I have hundreds of acres to run around on and drive the Gator on.
What is your favorite dairy treat? I like orange dreamsicle twist ice cream from Weber’s Farm Store.

When do you help with chores? I help with chores before and after school, but I get my birthday off.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like cleaning the barn because it is pretty easy. My least favorite chore is cleaning out the heifer shed because that takes a long time.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I don’t really have a favorite animal on the farm. I like pigs, but we don’t have any.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like band. I play the baritone.
What is something you have learned in school recently? We just learned about means and medians in math class.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. It would look like ours, except I would have pigs.
What do you like most about spring? I like riding in the tractor with my dad and grandpa.
What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? I like being outside all day with lots of room to roam around.
What is your favorite dairy treat? I like bubble gum ice cream from Melody Gardens.

When do you help with chores? I help with chores in the morning before school and in the afternoon after school and on the weekends.
What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like milking cows because I like spending time with the cows. I don’t like watering calves.
What is your favorite animal on your farm? I like the cats and our dogs, Polly and Kane.
What is your favorite subject in school? I like science. It is fun to learn how the earth was made.
What is something you have learned in school recently? In art, we made ice cream cones out of construction paper to learn about texture.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a farmer.
If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have horses, Holsteins and goats. I would have silos and a barn a little bigger than ours, maybe 200 feet long.
What do you like most about spring? I like the calves being born.
What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? Being outside and getting to play and chase cats and learn to drive the mini bike and things like that. There is a lot of stuff to do.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Weber’s ice cream, all of it.
