  • A busy spring
    Monday, May 17, 2021 10:49 AM

Everything is in full swing here at our farm. As I write this Jeramie is just finishing up planting the last of our soybeans.  The wheat is up nicely and the alfalfa is growing well.  I really hope that we can get some rain soon because it is unusually dry here.

  • Tackling the TMR mystery
    Tuesday, February 16, 2021 10:40 AM

This week was pretty uneventful once again, all but one day I should say. Monday was a long one! I was doing online school in the morning and my dad just left to go out to finish chores after breakfast. Normally after I’m done with school in the morning I go help finish up, but in the middle of class I got a phone call from Dad.

This week has been pretty crazy.  On Monday, I was talking on the phone while I was closing gates after feeding the heifers and dry cows. There are four gates that need to be closed and chained.  I closed all four gates, but I only chained three.
  • Excited to welcome the new year!
    Thursday, December 31, 2020 10:41 AM

We managed to make it half way through December without hardly any snow, but winter has arrived now and with it has came several inches of snow. At the farm, we were enjoying the lovely weather that we have been so lucky to receive.

  • A successful deer hunting weekend
    Friday, November 27, 2020 12:11 PM
Deer hunting has come and gone already! Every year our shop turns into “deer camp” for our family and friends. Jeramie and both of our kids hunt and they are joined by Jeramie’s brother, my dad, and my nephew.
  • Wrapping up harvest 2020
    Friday, October 23, 2020 1:04 PM

We are so happy to say that we have finished all of our 2020 fieldwork! October has been a very busy month. We only had a few issues with our older combine but after two days waiting on parts Jeramie was able replace the bearing.

  • One step closer to finishing fall fieldwork
    Wednesday, September 30, 2020 4:58 PM

    Hannah here!

This past month I have been busy being back at college. Although I am living in Fargo, I am still very connected to my family’s farm. I talk to my family every day and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • When everything seems to be going right, something goes wrong
    Friday, September 18, 2020 1:41 PM
This past week has been busy with chopping corn silage but also one of reflection.  The corn has been excellent this year and we managed to fill both of our silos and a 200-foot silage bag with less then 40 acres worth of corn.  We only had a couple of small repairs that had to be made so overall this year went well.
  • Back to school and last minute summer projects
    Friday, August 28, 2020 2:41 PM
When it rains it pours and it seems to be raining every other day lately. We were finally able to sneak in enough dry time to get the remaining wheat combined and then a few days later we were able to get the straw round baled and hauled home to the farm.
  • The dog days of summer
    Friday, August 7, 2020 8:54 AM
We are rolling into the dog days of summer. Jeramie has harvesting wheat on the top of his mind. We recently purchased a different combine and are excited to see it work.
