It's not too often that we get a day off, let alone a weekend off.  But when the opportunity came up for an out-of-town baseball game we jumped right in. We made a few phone calls to line up help and booked a hotel. I truly enjoy my days on the farm, but every now and then a day at the ball park is just in order. 

Our son plays on a travel baseball team and it is been one of the neatest experiences when it comes to sports. This team is a great group of kids who share a true excitement for baseball. The coaches are nothing but patient and go above and beyond to make sure the kids have fun.

I love cheering on every one of the kids, especially when they make a big play or knock the ball out of the park. It has become like another family with everyone supporting each other. They have been playing as a team for five years. This is our sons first year on first base and he loves it.

It takes a little coordination, and grandmas and grandpa, to make sports and a farm work but it truly is a great experience. I love spending time at the ball diamonds, cheering this team on.
