Tell us your favorite experience of working with Emma. My favorite part of working with Emma is when she started working with the cows a few years ago. She started showing responsibility and taking care of things.
What qualities does Emma have that benefit the farm? Emma is hardworking, pays attention to details, has a good work ethic and a good attitude. It all comes from a love for the cows.

Questions for youth:
What are your responsibilities on the farm? My responsibilities vary each day between milking, feeding and taking care of fresh cows. My dad and my sister, Stella, and I all help each other with chores. We all do little things too like cleaning and organizing things around the farm.
When did you begin helping on the farm? I have been helping since I can remember. I was always with my dad farming. I have always loved the cows and grew attached to them.

How has working on the farm shaped your character? It has taught me what it’s like to struggle. Sometimes you have to do things you don’t want to, but it has taught me to work hard and be grateful for what we have.

What do you love most about farm life? We get to spend time with family, be a part of an important industry and be around cows.

What is one thing you have learned from working alongside your dad? I have learned that it is OK to make mistakes and ask questions. It is always best to pay attention and do my best.

What are your future plans? I plan to go to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and major in biology.
