Carter Happke
12 years old

When do you help with chores? After school and weekends. I clean stalls in the freestall barn, help my dad mix feed and do whatever else he needs help with. I like to help with fieldwork.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? Any kind of fieldwork. My least favorite is feeding calves, especially the babies.
What is your favorite animal on the farm? Right now, my rooster is my favorite because it chases my sisters. Otherwise, my first calf heifer, Mariah.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A farmer.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? Same as ours.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm in the fall? I like to chop corn so I can get out of milking, and I like to deer hunt too.
What is the best thing about growing up on a dairy farm? I have the freedom to do whatever I want and building stuff whenever I want to.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Milk, because it is the best with cookies.

When do you help with chores? After school and weekends. I get the parlor ready for milking, feed pellets to calves, help Carter clean stalls and help Mom with milking.  
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite is helping milk cows. My least favorite is cleaning the calf barn.
What is your favorite animal on the farm? My show calf, Sunny. I got first place at the fair with her.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A photographer.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? It would have a lot of cats and dogs.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm in the fall? Jumping on bales, playing in the woods and building forts.
What is the best thing about growing up on a dairy farm? There is a lot of room to play, and you learn a lot of responsibility taking care of your animals.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Ice cream.

When do you help with chores? After school and weekends. I help Hayden hang milkers up, feed bottle calves and take care of the cats.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite is helping Mom milk cows. My least favorite is feeding calves when they spill milk.
What is your favorite animal on the farm? All the cows.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A vet.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? I would have a lot of kitties, puppies, cows and chickens.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm in the fall? Play in the leaves.
What is the best thing about growing up on a dairy farm? I get to help Mom.

When do you help with chores? When I do not go to school and after school. I usually follow my sisters around and help feed calves. 
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite is riding in the skid loader with Dad.
What is your favorite animal on the farm? My kitties and my red show calf.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A mom.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? It would have a lot of calves in hutches.
