Cheesy hashbrown casserole

2 pounds frozen hashbrowns
2 cups grated cheddar cheese, divided
8 ounces sour cream
10 ounces cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-by-13 baking dish. Mix together hashbrowns, 1 1/2 cups cheddar, sour cream, soup, butter, onion and seasonings in a bowl. Spread in dish and sprinkle remaining cheese. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
