When do you do chores and what chores do you do? It depends if we are going to school or if school is virtual, but if we are in school, I milk at night.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? Milking is my favorite chore. I like milking by myself and listening to music. My least favorite chore is feeding calves.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Red is my favorite cow. She has a nice personality and is halter broke.
What is your favorite subject in school? Math is my favorite subject. I pick up on it easy.
What is something you have learned in school lately? In history class, we have been learning about Wisconsin Indian tribes.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I would like to be an accountant, because I am good at math.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? I would milk about 80 cows. I would have a shed for older calves and heifers. I would have my baby calves in hutches.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Cheese curds.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm during the winter? Snowmobiling and tubing.

When do you do chores and what chores do you do? Usually I help with chores in the afternoons and evenings. When the cows are outside, I clean the barn.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? Feeding calves is my favorite chore. I like being with the calves. Sweeping stall mats is my least favorite chore. The cows make a mess, and it takes a while to do.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Abby is my favorite. She is a Jersey. I really like them.
What is your favorite subject in school? Math is my favorite subject. I like my math teacher a lot.
What is something you have learned in school lately? We read the book “Animal Farm” and wrote an essay on it. It was kind of cool to see what happened in the book.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a nurse because my mom is one.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? I would have about 50 cows, about half Jerseys and half Holsteins. I would have 15 red beef cows, pigs and chickens. I would have International tractors.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm during the winter? Sledding and snow tubing.

Second grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I help with chores after school. I lime and bed, take care of the rabbits and chickens. I mostly help with everything but milking.  
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? Liming is my favorite chore. I think it is fun, and I like to play in it. I don’t like cleaning the mangers because the feed is hard to push.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? My Jersey heifer Macy is my favorite. I have a bunch of rabbits too. I have a cow named Mustard that was born on my birthday that I like too.
What is your favorite subject in school? Gym is my favorite class. We play fun games, and when we go outside, we can take off our masks.
What is something you have learned in school lately? I have been learning cursive writing and multiplication.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I think I want to be a farmer.
If you had your own farm, what would it look like? It would be a nice one with International tractors, cows, chickens, pigs and rabbits and maybe a bull.
What is your favorite dairy treat? Chocolate milk and deep-fried cheese curds.
What is your favorite thing to do on the farm during the winter? I like to snow plow.
