MADISON, Wis. - Students from across the country traveled to World Dairy Expo to compete in the intercollegiate dairy judging contest on Oct. 1.
Of the 19 teams that competed, the top five teams included Penn State taking first, the University of Wisconsin-Madison placing second, Iowa State University ranking third, the University of Minnesota in fourth and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls taking fifth.
Individually, Hayden Hauschildt from UW-Madison took second, Jayne Esch from the University of Minnesota took fourth, Abbey Wethal and Jacob Brey from UW-Madison placed fifth and sixth, respectively, and Katie Adams from Iowa State University came in seventh.
In the reasons portion of the contest, UW-Madison placed second, the University of Minnesota took third, Iowa State University came in fifth, while UW-River Falls took seventh.
Hayden Hauschildt from UW-Madison topped oral reasons, while David Hanson and Jayne Esch from the University of Minnesota took fourth and seventh, respectively, Katie Adams from Iowa State University was ninth and Abbey Wethal from UW-Madison came in tenth.[[In-content Ad]]
