Peppermint Candy

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup vanilla chips
3 teaspoons peppermint extract
2 to 3 drops green food coloring
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips with three-fourths cup condensed milk over low heat; stir. Line an 8-inch square pan with waxed paper; butter the paper.
Spread half of chocolate mixture into pan and chill 10 minutes. The other half of the chocolate mixture can stand at room temperature.
In another saucepan, melt vanilla chips. Stir in the rest of the condensed milk until smooth; remove from the heat. Add peppermint extract and food coloring . Refrigerate until set, then spread over chocolate layer. Spread the remaining chocolate mixture over the top. Refrigerate until set. Cut into 1-inch pieces.[[In-content Ad]]
