Noodle Bake
Recipes submitted by Groetsch Dairy, Albany, Minn.
1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 14.5-ounce can tomato sauce
1 medium to large onion, diced
4 or 5 cloves garlic, diced
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
3/4 of a 16-ounce container of sour cream
1-pound package noodles
2 cups or more of mozzarella or Colby jack shredded cheese
In a frying pan, brown hamburger with half of diced onion and garlic, salt and pepper. Once browned, add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream and remaining onion and garlic. Mix together and set aside.
Cook noodles as directed; drain. Add the noodles - while still hot - to the cream cheese mixture.
In a 9- by 13-inch pan, put the noodle/cream cheese mixture. Top with the hamburger mixture and top with a minimum of two cups of shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese is slightly brown.[[In-content Ad]]
