The Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association (MSCA) is accepting management proposals for the position of Executive Director. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of association activities including; promotion of the association's mission and goals, supervision of the financial operations of the association and coordination of promotions on behalf of the industry.

The Executive Director plays a key role in building the association's capacity to ensure the cattle industry can compete and prosper in today's market place. The position requires the ability work independently, oversee the association's financial accounts, maintain the organizations official office and periodically travel within the state to coordinate MSCA promotional events such as; the State Beef Tour, Cattlemen's Golf Outing, Farmfest Food Booth, Minnesota Beef Expo, the MSCA Annual Convention & Trade Show and provide a MSCA presence at other agriculture related events.

The position requires an in depth understanding of Minnesota's Beef Industry, excellent communication skills and superior financial management ability. The Director works on behalf of the membership, coordinating the association's efforts to promote the economic and environmental benefits of cattle production in Minnesota.

If you believe in the livestock industry and have the ability to positively motivate others in accomplishing a wide variety of tasks this may be the opportunity for you. The position requires the ability to multi-task in a variety of areas including; financial management and budgeting, written communications and contracting for a variety of services. The ability to use computers, the internet and oversee the association's website are also elements of the Director's responsibilities.
