Meatball Sub Casserole
Recipe submitted by Cathy Balzer, Owatonna, Minn.
1/3 c chopped onion
1/4 c seasoned bread crumbs
3 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1 lb hamburger
1 lb pork sausage
Combine in mixing bowl. Shape into 1 inch balls and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
1 lb loaf Italian bread cut into 1 inch slices
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese
1/2 c mayo or Miracle Whip
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 c mozzarella cheese
1 jar spaghetti sauce
Arrange bread in a single layer in a greased 9"x13" pan as close together as you can.
Combine cream cheese, mayo and Italian seasoning and spread over bread slices. Sprinkle with 1/2 c of the mozzarella cheese. Top with precooked meatballs and pour over top spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.[[In-content Ad]]
