Lonna's Three Layer Strawberry Dessert
1 cup flour (Lonna uses about 1/3 cup more flour)
1/2 cup butter melted
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Combine ingredients and pat into a 9x13 pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
Second Layer:
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip
Mix the ingredients and spread on chilled crust. Chill again.
Third Layer:
1 cup sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
A pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups 7up
1/2 cup water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. of wild strawberry Jell-O
2 qts. fresh strawberries, sliced
Combine all but the strawberries in a saucepan. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and add the wild strawberry Jell-O. Cool. Then, add the sliced strawberries. Put over second layer and refrigerate. You can top it with sweetened whipped cream and a fresh strawberry when serving.
