Kids Corner: The McClellands

Eighth grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I feed calves and milk cows morning and night.
What's your favorite and least favorite chores? Milking is my favorite because it's warmer in the parlor. My least favorite is feeding calves in the wintertime.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? My favorite animals are our dogs, Maggy and Molly, who are Saint Bernards, and Blue, our Blue Heeler. We are trying to train Blue to be a cow dog.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I'm not quite sure yet.
What is your favorite winter activity? Sledding with my cousins and riding in the Ranger.
What is your favorite snack or dairy treat? I like ice cream, cheese and milk.
Jansen McClelland, 12
Seventh grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? In the morning I milk cows and at night I feed calves and milk cows.
What's your favorite and least favorite chores? Milking is my favorite because I get to work with my dad. Feeding calves is my least favorite because my hands get cold.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Our dogs - Maggy, Molly and Blue - are my favorites. Maggy and Molly are Saint Bernards. Blue is a Blue Heeler.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't know yet.
What is your favorite winter activity? I like to ride the four-wheeler.
What is your favorite snack or dairy treat? My favorites are milk and cheese.[[In-content Ad]]
