Fifth Grade
When do you help with chores? I help with chores after school. I mainly water the calves and watch the gates when we bed the heifers. Sometimes we all help milk cows at night and take turns watching cows, post dipping, scraping manure and putting lime on the floor. In the summer, we pull the wagon around to give the cows pellets when it's really hot.

What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My least favorite is watching the gates when we bed the heifers.

What's your favorite animal on your farm? I love my kitty, Bibble.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a pediatrician.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. My farm would have horses and goats. I would have two stables and a small goat barn fill with cats and kittens.

What do you like about fall? It's pretty, and I like the nicer, cooler weather.

What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? I get to learn how to take care of animals, and I have a big yard to play in.

What's your favorite dairy treat? I love mint chocolate truffle ice cream.

Third grade
When do you help with chores? I help with chores after school. I help water the calves and watch the gates when we are bedding the heifers. I help Mommy mix milk for the calves, too.

What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite chore is feeding powder to the cows. My least favorite is watching gates.

What's your favorite animal on your farm? My cat, Lucky.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a doctor.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I want a horse farm with 10 horses and a big barn. I also want kitties and a puppy.

What do you like about fall? I like Halloween and playing in the leaves.

What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? There are lots of animals to be with and care for. I also have lots of room to ride my bike.

What's your favorite dairy treat? My favorite is vanilla ice cream.

Pre-school
When do you help with chores? I help with chores mostly all the time.

What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like driving tractor with Daddy. I also like scooping feed and sometimes mud in my wheelbarrow. My least favorite is watching gates.

What's your favorite animal on your farm? The cows are my favorite. I like to feed them and pet them.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a cowboy.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I would have tons of animals - chickens, cows, pigs and horses. I would also have a barn with tractors, wagons, a skidloader and fields to work in.

What do you like about fall? I like riding in tractors and jumping in leaf piles.

What is the best thing about growing up on a farm? I like riding through the barn on my scooter. I also like driving my John Deere toy tractor all over the whole yard and feeding calves.

What's your favorite dairy treat? I like cookies and cream ice cream.
