Madeline Brumm, 13
Seventh-grader
When do you do chores? I do chores on the weekend and sometimes in the morning. Right now I don't do any after school because I am in sports.
What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite chore to do is taking care of my horse, because I like horses. My least favorite is doing calf chores; I am not sure why, I just have never liked doing it. 
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? My horse Sassy is my favorite. I take her to the horse events at our county fair.
What is your favorite subject in school and why? I like science best because I like learning about how things work.
What do you want to be when you grow up/ done with high school? I want to be a special ed teacher.
You live in an area where there are not many dairies. How do you try to educate people about dairy farming? In the summer I work with my grandma in the dairy trailer.

Caleb Brumm, 11
Fifth-grader
When do you do chores? I do chores after school and on weekends. 
What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like driving the skidloader because I like to drive. My least favorite chore is taking the net wrap off the round bales when it's frozen. 
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? My favorite animals are our dog Chloe, our bunnies Beatrice and Penelope,  and I often have a favorite calf. Last year it was Bailey. I took her to the fair and she was very tame.
What is your favorite subject in school and why? I like math because it is easy and fun.
What do you want to be when you grow up/ done with high school? A dairy farmer.
You live in an area where there are not many dairies. How do you try to educate people about dairy farming? We had to do a school research project and I did mine about Holstein dairy cattle. I talked about things like what they eat and how much they weigh. One kid asked me if brown cows give brown milk.

Nathan Brumm, 9
Third-grader
When do you do chores? I do chores after school and on weekends.
What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? I like feeding the bunnies because it's easy. My least favorite chores is bedding the calf huts because it's so dusty.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? My favorite animals are the bunnies, Beatrice and Penelope. They are fluffy and you can hold them. 
What is your favorite subject in school and why? My favorite subject is science because it's fun.
What do you want to be when you grow up/ done with high school? I want to be a pro football player in the NFL or a dairy farmer.
What are you most looking forward to doing when the weather gets warmer? I am looking forward to riding the 4-wheeler.

When do you do chores? I do chores after school.
What's your favorite chore and least favorite chore? My favorite chore is feeding the cats because I like them and it's fun. My least favorite is taking care of the horse.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? I like the kittens, cats and our dog Chloe.
What is your favorite subject in school and why? I love art because it's fun.
What do you want to be when you grow up/ done with high school? I want to be an artist. 
What are you most looking forward to doing when the weather gets warmer? I like to swim, and I am looking forward to fishing at Lake Hendricks.
