Pre-school (will be starting kindergarten in fall of 2012)
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I pick up my toys, clean my room and help my dad and brothers with their chores.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? I like to help Dad feed the cows. I don't have a least favorite chore.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. Dana, Fred's horse, is my favorite animal because she lets me ride her and she walks slow. Ace, our dog, is my other favorite animal. He's my friend. I like to play with him and he is nice.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I already get to drive tractor with Dad.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? I like to slide down the hill and build snowmen.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? Christmas cookies.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? Toy tractors and equipment, new boots for walking in the barn, a toy gun, new pajamas, and maybe a new 4-wheeler like Mom and Dad's.

Dannielle Berscheit, 6
First grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I clean my room and sometimes I help set the table.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite is helping set the table. It's fun! I don't have a least favorite chore; I like everything.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. I have three favorite animals. Daisy, my cat, can have little kittens; Ace, our dog, can do tricks; and Butterscotch, my horse, is a really nice horse.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? I like to slide down the hill with my brothers with Ace running down the hill by us.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? Cookies with frosting.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? I really, really want a piano and a microphone, Barbies, a tea set, a kid's table and chairs, a pretty dress and some pretty shoes.

Frederick Berscheit, 9
Third grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I clean my room and help my brothers and my dad with chores.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite chore is helping milk cows. The least favorite is bedding the calves.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. Ace, our dog, protects us and plays fetch and hide-n-seek with us. The only thing is sometimes he gives us away but that's OK.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? Playing in the snow, building forts, making snowmen and sledding.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? Cookies.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? A remote control snowmobile, a foam dart bolt-action rifle and a foam dart repeater rifle.

Joshua Berscheit, 11
Fifth grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I clean my room, dump scraps and help bed calves in the huts.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My least favorite is cleaning my room. Dumping scraps is my favorite chore because the cats and dog play with me.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. My favorite animal is my family's dog, Ace. He plays fetch with me and keeps me company.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? Snowmobiling with my family.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? Turkey.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? A snowmobile, a foam dart rifle, a remote control car and remote control snowmobile, and a BB gun.

Dusty Berscheit, 13
Seventh grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I do chores from 6:30 to 7 p.m. I feed and bed the calves in the north barn. I also help bed the calves in the huts.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My least favorite chore is filling milk jugs for the house. My favorite chore is feeding the calves.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. Ace, our dog. He is a red heeler crossed with a wiener dog but he takes after the red heeler.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A farmer.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? Driving snowmobile.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? Cookies.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? A remote control snowmobile, toy tractors and equipment to collect.

Houston Berscheit, 15
10th grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I help with chores in the afternoon and evening. I feed the calves and bed them and sometimes I help with milking. I also relief milk for neighbors.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? My favorite chores would be feeding the animals and my least favorite would be scraping the lot.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. My favorite animal is a Brahma bull calf. His name is Junior. He is the type of calf that once you pet him a little you are stuck with him. He loves to follow you around and is just a really neat little calf.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Probably a farmer because you get to take care of a lot of animals and I also enjoy working on engines like 4-wheelers and snowmobiles.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? Snowmobiling and playing around on the 4-wheeler.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? The turkey and stuffing.
What's on your Christmas wish list this year? Probably a new pair of snow bibs for snowmobiling.

Adam Berscheit, 17
12th grade
When do you do chores and what chores do you do? I do chores on mornings during the weekends and on some nights. I feed and give bedding to the cows and calves and I do chores for Dad when he wants time off.
What are your favorite and least favorite chores? I enjoy doing all the chores. There isn't one that I don't like.
Do you have a favorite animal on your farm? Tell us about it. My favorite animal is our dog, Ace. He is my favorite animal because whenever I go outside he is always at the door waiting for me to come out.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dairy farmer like my dad.
What is your favorite winter activity (work or play) to do on the farm? Snowmobiling and riding the 4-wheeler around the farm.
What's your favorite Christmas food or treat? I like chocolate-covered Ritz crackers sandwiched with peanut butter in the middle.
