Family members: Parents: Shawn and Debbie Hollermann. Brothers: Dylan and Mason Hollermann.
What dairy or ag-related extracurricular activities are you involved in? I am involved in the Todd County Dairy Bowl Team. I'm also a reporter for the 4-H Leaders Council. I'm a Dairy Ambassador for Todd County and I am involved in 4-H Dairy project.
Why are you involved in these activities/organizations and what is your favorite? Mostly because I love learning new things and meeting new people. I also love the agriculture field, so I love being around the animals. My favorite activity is being a Dairy Ambassador.
Tell us your best experience during your time in these activities/organizations. It's a toss up. One of my favorites is my dad bringing three teenage girls to Crookston for a Dairy Bowl meet and listening to him on the car ride home mock us about how we talk and gossip. My other best memory is when my friend Bekka and I started to run to be Dairy Ambassadors and we would pinch each other's back when we would slouch so we would sit up straight.
What's your favorite social media and why? I haven't really been on any type of social media, but I just joined Facebook. I do like it because it keeps me informed and I can see what's going on in my friends' lives who live far away from me.
What are your career aspirations? I am only a sophomore so my career isn't really set in stone. But I would enjoy an animal science career. Right now I'm looking into a doctorate in animal science or being a vet.
What is something you've learned from being involved in these activities/organizations? I've learned how to be a better person and to listen more than talk.
Who do you look up to and why? I look up to my dad. He is always busy with the farm, but he always makes time to just talk to me about how my day was. He has helped me understand how to judge dairy cattle and how important being a Dairy Ambassador is to him and every farmer. He has made a huge impact on my life.
Tell us something about yourself that many people don't know. One of my biggest dreams is to be crowned Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
Tell us some of your duties on the farm. I have a variety of duties, but my main duty is milking cows. I also help whenever else I'm needed.
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be and how would you change it? I would change how people see our farms, so they can see how much us farmers love our animals. I have been trying to get people to see this by being a dairy ambassador and showing people how much I love my animals. I plan on doing that for as long as possible.[[In-content Ad]]
