Chocolate Cookie Cake
4 Tbsp. cocoa
2 sticks butter
1 cup water
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
Frosting:
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
6 Tbsp. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts
Combine cocoa, butter and water for the cake. Bring to a boil or until butter melts. Don't cool. Mix the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and sugar and add to the cocoa mixture. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla and milk. Bake in floured cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees. If you use a cake pan, bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Using the same saucepan that was used for the cake, combine cocoa, butter and milk for the frosting and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and add sugar. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour over cooled cake.
