Cheesy Sausage Stromboli

Recipe submitted by Pam Sellner, Manchester, Iowa

2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
2 lbs. pork sausage, browned, cooled
4 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. dry basil
2 Tbls. Parmesan cheese

Roll each loaf of bread to a 15 by 10 inch rectangle on a greased baking sheet. Combine sausage, cheese, two eggs and basil. Spoon half of the sausage mixture lengthwise down one side of the rectangle to within 1 inch of the edge. Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal. Cut diagonal slits on top of each stromboli. Beat one egg and brush over loaves. Sprinkle each with 1 Tbls. parmesan cheese. Cover and let rise about 45 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
